This Candy Ruby Red iconic Japanese motorcycle originated in the US in 1969 and was fully restored by world famous Honda Guru "Vic World" with a no expense spared. The package includes various documents including a letter/invoice dated Nov 2015 from World Motorcycles listing all the new old stock parts that was fitted to the bike (chassis: CB750-1002102). These included gauges with sandcast cable drives, fuel tank, front mudguard, key switch gear, indicators, all the cables, tail light, headlamp assembly, rear hub, rims, sprockets, oil lines, handlebar switch gear and original factory tool kit. The bike is also supplied with the original US registration document and a NOVA should the next owner wish to register the bike in the UK, workshop manual and owners handbook and a 2004 magazine featuring Vic and World Motorcycles re the Honda CB750's. The "Sandcast is the most sought after of the CB750 models with Honda realising that they could beat their rivals and release their four cylinder four stroke, just weeks ahead of their rival, if they were to sandcast the engine cases, head and barrel rather than die casting. With its four-cylinder transverse engine, it was a big hit with the public at its introduction in 1968 and has since become a collectors favourite. It was unlike anything Honda had produced for the public, and frightfully similar to their race bikes, with the first mass-production in-line four-cylinder engine. It was the first Superbike, and more than 45 years later it makes for a great classic ride. Today, motorcyclists and collectors alike are snatching up original and restored early-production Honda CB750 motorcycles due to their limited numbers and their place in history.
