Voting for the MCN Rider of the Year 2019 is now open. We’ve already revealed our shortlist and now we need your help to crown the winner. Today we focus on Peter Hickman, who enjoyed yet another successful year on the roads and in BSB.

Peter Hickman is looking for back-to-back MCN awards after another fantastic season. He picked up a hat-trick of victories at the Isle of Man TT, in the Superbike, Supersport and Superstock classes. Hickman was cruelly denied a fourth win in the Senior TT when his bike was hit with technical problems whilst he held a comfortable lead.  

Hickman also took victory in the Superstock race at the North West 200 and became the fastest ever road racer once again at the Ulster Grand Prix. His 136.415mph lap ensured that the event reclaimed its title of being the world’s fastest road race. Such was his domination at the UGP, Hickman won all seven races that he entered.

If all that’s not enough he also made it into the Showdown in BSB for the third year in succession.
