Cal Crutchlow was the first British rider to step on to a MotoGP podium in 12 years when he finished third at Brno in 2012. Can he move up to the top step in 2013?

When you consider the field he would have to beat, and then also consider that he is on a satelite bike, - its going to be tough.

I would love Cal (or Smith) to win a MotoGP race next season, it is going to be difficult to do with a satelite bike, but you never know what will happen during a race. I think Cal will have a much better chance of either winning (or regular podiums) if he sorts his starts out. Cal seems to qualify well but more often that not messes the start up so badly he is suddenly in 6th-10th place and has to battle his way through. Lets hope he is busy practising leading up to the new season.
