Garmin Zumo 220, from £250
Miles covered/time: 2000/three weeks
What's good: Motorcycle sat navs can be infuriating if they can't do the basics like letting you operate them safely and easily while on the move; the Garmin Zumo 220 works perfectly so far. I have used a more exotic Garmin 660 before which was fitted to a BMW R1200RT and that was brilliant.
The 220 does what you need in a more compact and affordable package. Tailoring the mounting kit to your bike will be the hardest part. I recently used the Garmin for a 1100-mile, two-day trip from Italy to home and it was faultless.
What's not: Not a lot I can think of. I can't be bothered with headsets so just seeing the map is good enough for me without hearing instructions.
