If you check out the website for the NEC you will see in the what's-on-guide a list of events and how much the parking costs. I only mention it because a few years ago the Bike Show was on at the same time as a woodworking exhibition. A mate of mine, who operates kitchen...

  • Insurance shambles

    26 November 2007 by Anonymous

With reference to the guy who was told he wouldn't be insured for a charity rally. Last winter my bike was off the road and the MOT expired (mid Feb and wet/miserable). Insurance was due at the same time and I noticed that a current MOT was a requirement. I got in touch and they said I wouldn't be covered going for an MOT. Hell - even the government lets you off mot and tax when going for an MOT.

  • NEC preview day shambles

    26 November 2007 by Steve O'Doherty

I attended the preview day of the NEC bike show on Friday and wonder what the double ticket price was all about. There were no programmes, no brochures of the bikes on any of the stands, and no special events for preview day. I certainley won't be going to another one!

  • £20m Gatso refund

24 November 2007 by Dave Carling

Hampshire Police will have to refund up to £20m to 250.000 motorists because a Gatso camera on the A27 at Fareham in Hampshire had incorrect warning signs and therefore the 40mph limit had no backing in law. The judge ruled in Portmouths Magistrates Court that ''All speeding tickets where the signs are wrong must now be dismissed'' Even Paul Smith of Safespeed agreed! If there is not a worded...
