Scott Redding claimed his first victory of 2011 at Mondello Park last weekend – riding a Honda C90 in a charity eight-hour endurance race.
Teaming up with former 250GP winner and MotoGP rider Jeremy McWilliams and Irish enduro champion Paul McGuire, the trio won the annual Nifty Fifty by 30 seconds.
Redding’s special C90, prepped and modified by Alvaro Bautista’s factory Suzuki MotoGP crew chief Tom O’Kane, even featured heated grips.
The event raised money for the Action Medical Research charity, which helps medical research dedicated to helping babies and children.
Marc VDS Racing Moto2 rider Redding, who is the youngest rider in history to win a Grand Prix, said: “It was a really good laugh and to raise lots of money for charity was really cool too.
"We won and I beat the lap record by six seconds. Hopefully it will be the first of a few wins this year.”
