Have you ever ben riding down such a road with hedges on your side or both sides. It draws the road in and looks busier than it is your vision is reduced and if there is sunlight involved sometimes you cannot see the hedge base or verge on your side of the road. It becomes totally blind to you.
There is nothing new in this phenomena and we all have to ride a bit more slowly because of it. I have even missed a horse and rider because of it. Its to do with the sunlight going through glass or a plastic visor or even sunglasses and they create this blind spot. There is a way of stopping it. Simply place some electrical tape, pref. black along the top and or bottom of the visor and then when its down or up that tape will stop sunlight entering the iris of the eye. In that way there is little or no refraction and visibility is better. Try it and see. it will do absolutely no damage to the visor or reduce its strength.
But it might save a life.....Yours.
