Spada 911 Trousers, £12.50
Miles covered/time: 3500/one year
What’s good? They’re a very cheap, very basic, very portable pair of waterproof overtrousers that do the job well. You can easily compress them into a tiny space, making them ideal to keep under your seat in case of summer showers.
They’re good at keeping wind and light rain off and for the price they’re certainly worth it. You get more or less exactly what you’d expect.
What’s not? They’re extremely thin, so if the weather’s even slightly cold you’ll need to wear some hefty jeans and/or long johns underneath.
They’re also very much a budget product, so they won’t keep you bone dry through a serious downpour.
The leg zips also have a tendency to get stuck in the material every time, which is mildly annoying.
