Product review: Kriega Urban EDC Messenger Bag

I’ve been using this Kriega messenger bag for the past six weeks and first impressions are good.

What’s good?

This 18-litre compartmentalised bag, with its four storage zones, elasticated hooks and key hanger, is all about organisation. I carry a laptop, iPad, chargers, lunch box (large), thermal lining, phone, wallet and keys plus the miscellaneous junk that follows me around – and all are easily accessible. The shoulder strap can be easily and instantly lengthened, allowing the bag to be lifted over your helmet, or simply pulled around, to under your nose, for fishing out your wallet. It can also be quickly reversed from a left to a right shoulder sling. On the bike, a detachable waist strap and grippy, Hypalon backing material keeps the bag stable. I loved the original Aerostich courier bag but this is more comfortable and refined.

What’s not?

There’s little to fault. It hasn’t had a soaking yet, so I’ll update when it has.
