MCN's Senior Editor, Matt Wildee, has picked today's bike of the day: Honda VFR750R RC30.
Matt says: "As lottery-winning dreams go, this is the ultimate – a never run, box-fresh 1989 Honda RC30 – both brand new and 28 years old at the same time. Honda’s iconic superbike is one of the greatest motorcycles ever, combining amazing build quality with innovation and WSB and TT-winning cred.
"But this comes at a price on 2017 – £60,000! Still it’s cheaper than a BMW HP4 Race – and I think I’d rather buy a brand-new RC30..."
On sale for a whopping £59,995 the seller adds: "This Honda is as new and never been run. Complete with original stand, spare keys, owners handbooks and delivery literature. This bike has been carefully stored in climate controlled surroundings and has been the personal property of our Managing Director for many years.
"Launched late in 1987, the RC30 was a true 'homologation' special. Built to conform to the rules of the then new World Superbike Championship, it was truly exotic, (a direct descendent of the RVF750 race bike for the road) and, being built in limited numbers with the most advanced technology of the time, was very expensive when new."
