Why it’s MCN’s pick:
BMW released the first 1200cc version of the RT in 2005 and it immediately blew away its heavier and less powerful predecessor, the R1150RT.
Sharp and flickable, but incredibly smooth thanks to BMW's Telelever/Paralever suspension set-up, the latest model also boasts a 240 mile range, meaning it might just be the perfect mile-slayer.
In typical BMW fashion, there were a huge range of factory options, including semi-active suspension and gear change assist, but even the basic model came with two riding modes, traction control, electric screen and ABS.
What the seller says:
“BMW R1200RT LE, only 3955 miles and one owner from new the bike is in great condition and being a high spec LE model comes fitted with Dynamic ESA, Daytime Riding Light, Gearshift Assist Pro, Riding Mode Pro, Central Locking System, ABS Pro, Seat Heating, Cruise Control, power screen and more, water cooling the R1200RT has evolved it into an even better tourer.”
