Spidi Scarface Jacket, £349 (superseded by Symbol, £410)
Miles covered/time: 30,000/four years
What’s good: Thirty thousand miles is showing, but I’m sure there’s another 30,000 still in those seams. It’s not been looked after very well; however, the only wear is cosmetic on the bold Spidi logo across the front and sleeve. It’s done extremely well considering it’s faced enough rain to sink a ship and been slung on the floor to dry repeatedly. It still feels like a quality motorcycle jacket and although it only claims to be 50% waterproof it’s more like 90%. Considering the new version costs £410 and you can now find the Scarface brand new online between £160-£200 it’s well worth it and can be worn all year round.
What’s not: It’s lost some of its windproof properties and it doesn’t fit amazingly well around the upper waist
