Clothing Review: Held Rano Jacket and Tempest trousers

1 of 1

Held Rano Jacket £69.99 and Tempest trousers £41.99

Time tested: 18 months, 1000 miles

What’s good? It’s that time of year again when you cannot completely trust the weather forecast. It might feel like a leathers day when you set out for a ride, but can soon turn into a waterproofs day. The Held Rano jacket and Tempest trousers are the perfect accompaniment for such rides. Both can be rolled into a reasonable size to be carried around, either strapped to the bike or in a small tank bag. The long zips on the trouser legs make them easy to put on over motorcycle boots when caught out in a shower. The jacket comes complete with a built in hood that stows away neatly into the collar, both the cuff and sleeve come complete with Velcro adjusters to stop them flapping around. Both jacket and trousers have amazing bright fluorescent panels making you very visible to other road users, this is backed up at night by Scotchlite reflective piping. Light, windproof and waterproof, these are just the job

What’s not? Only when it’s been a bit muggy and wet in the summer, I have found it sweats a bit, not the case in winter though.
