What’s good? The standard of construction on this simple textile suit is excellent and the combination offers very good value for money. The jacket is made from tough yet flexible 500-denier material with 900-denier reinforcements at the elbows, and the jacket is both comfortable and effective. I tested it through a torrential downpour when riding to an evening bike meet in summer and it remained impressively dry. I also wore it for a four-day trip to the Isle of Man TT where it coped well with both high temperatures, with the lining removed and chest vents undone, and chilly morning rides with lining restored and vents done up. The trousers connect reliably to the jacket and also have helpful anti-slip patches at the seat. There’s a feeling of reassurance from this suit that belies the £300-ish pricetag, and I also like the high quantity of Scotchlite reflective material for better visibility at night.
What’s not? I would like a method for holding the collar section back in warmer weather, but that is my only (minor) complaint about an otherwise impressive two-piece.
