Product review: HiMountain Mission 10
HiMountain Mission 10, around £35 for similar rucksacks
Miles covered/time: 3000 miles/three years
What’s good? This rucksack/hydration pack is perfect for a day’s riding or for keeping you hydrated on longer runs.
The 10-litre capacity is plenty for essential items such as tools, money, a phone and your wallet, plus more.
The two-litre hydration pouch doesn’t fill up the main compartment, leaving plenty of room for what you need to carry.
What’s not? The rubber mesh shoulder straps could do with being a bit more substantial. As they are they’re always twisted and you’re never sure if they’re actually on.
The end of the hydration pack tubes doesn’t lock as well as other systems I’ve used – often leaking water.
This particular brand isn’t available in the UK, but similar rucksacks are available from brands such as Dakine (the Shuttle) and Berghaus (the Mach 7+4) for £35 plus.
