The Ducati Scrambler 800 Desert Sled isn’t just a posing accessory for parking outside coffee shops in trendy parts of town (although it doesn’t look out of place doing so), it’s a genuine off-road bike that just happens to look as cool as a frozen cucumber.
Boasting a reinforced frame, KYB suspension and extended swingarm the Desert Sled is at home tearing up the dirt as it is popping to the shops, just as a true scrambler should be.
The gap between road and off-road bikes hasn’t always been as wide as it is today. Bikes like the Triumph T100 were given flat bars and knobbly tyres and used for proper off-road racing, or grooved rubber and clip-ons for the track.
The Desert Sled is the first modern scrambler to pay homage to those original bikes and it does it in serious style.
