Part of a generation of 600cc supersport motorcycles that turned their back on practicality in pursuit of pure track performance, the Yamaha R6 has been part of the Japanese firm's range since 1998 and continues to provide riding thrills to trackday enthusiasts and fast road riders 20 years on.

This machine was registered in 2006 but is actually part of the second generation of R6, which boasts the same 108bhp from its 599cc 16-valve inline-four engine as its predecessor, but has improved mid-range power thanks to enlarged throttle bodies and improved engine mapping.
Alongside improvements to the motor, the bike also got upgrades to the forks, a stiffer chassis and radial brakes. This improved the already fantastic handling and further cemented the reputation of the R6 as a trackday weapon.
Woods Motorcycles say: "This 2006 Yamaha R6 is in very good condition having only covered 6997 miles since new. It is fitted with blue tinted double bubble screen, mini indicators and front and rear paddock stand bobbins.
"The bike is supplied with the spare key, V5, handbook and service book. The price includes a three-month parts and labour warranty, HPI, PDI, MOT and service (as required)."
