    Moto GP Speed Limiters

What with the delays caused by the speed traps on the roads leading to the circuit and the que of bikes trying to avoid the vehicle licence checks, we thought it slightly amusing that the Donington...

  • Respect for the IOM TT

27 June 2008 by Tom Punton

I am sorry, but I am so angry I feel I must bring to your attention what I feel is the most astonishing and disgusting piece of so called journalism I have ever made the mistake of reading. It is from the Mail on Sunday supplement 22nd June. I believe tha article was alleged to be a road test of an KTM RC8 and a 690 enduro, but I was so disgusted that I stopped reading after the first two paras...

  • Donington Moto GP Parking

26 June 2008 by Paul Hancock

Hi Guys, you think bikers had a hard time with the police at Donington for the Moto GP. We parked where we normally park (Slades Lane, a little road just off the main road between the Paddock entrance and the Redgate entrance) which then gives us easy access away from the circuit via Wilson,Breedon,Lount and onto Ashby. I have been using this little pull in which is tarmaced on the side off the...

  • Donington Park- Facilities and Fans!

    25 June 2008 by Anonymous

I have had a superb weekend at Donington Park, for the Motogp. The weather for the majority of the weekend was dry, the company was fab. However..... The facilities at the campsite were attrocious- COMMUNAL SHOWERS??!!?! Seriously, how dangerous could that be? On the Thurs there was no hot water at all. The toilets were revolting. Then they made us pay for the gigs on the Fri and Sat night, which...

  • British F2 Sidecar Championship: Roy Hanks and Dave Wells top points scorers at Snetterton

24 June 2008 by John Newton

After a weekend of contrasting weather and two very different races, Roy Hanks and Dave Wells emerged as the top points scorers having won Saturday's opening British F2 Sidecar race at Snetterton. A rain-disrupted qualifying session saw Ian and Carl Bell (Ian Bell M/cs LCR Yamaha) take pole and alongside them were John Holden and Andy Winkle (D&A Walmsley LCR Suzuki) and Tony Elmer and Darren...

  • Donington farce

23 June 2008 by Ian Hall

I have recently started taking my nephew to see both WSB and BSB rounds and he has enjoyed every one. I personally have been going racing for years and have seen the improvement and the effort to turn the sport into a family event with all the circuits improving facilities. With JT racing myself and a five friends decided to give the British GP one last go after previous disastrous visits. What a...

  • Organisation?

23 June 2008 by Graham Lawrenson

The contrast between a weekend at Donington and the same at Goodwood is phenomenal. Poor road signs, lack of stewarding, no discernible footpaths, inadequate and poor quality catering. Even the Grandstands had no signs saying which Block they were, you just had to ask each steward, and at least one of them was more interested in lighting her fag! If I wrote a list of all the problems we had on...

  • Donnington Park Moto GP 2008 (What a palava)

23 June 2008 by Mike Hollis

Donnington Park Moto GP 2008 (What a palava) I have just returned from my first visit to the MOTO GP at Donnington Park, and I must say it will be my last. Neither will I be recommending it to any one I would call a friend in the future. It is not a cheap weekend over £400.00 for four people including camping, weekend passes and Sunday Grandstand tickets but we were all looking forward to what...
