Shoei X-Spirit II: first impressions

1 of 1

I've been riding in the successor to Shoei's legendary X-Spirit for a few months now.

The last 1000 miles have taught me that it's just as comfortable as the previous model, and that the vents work much better. Especially the chin vent, which is now much easier to use with your gloves on.

It also blasts a lot more air in than before. The increased visor aperture is a revelation, giving increased peripheral vision and allowing me to see more in a racing crouch, too.

The slots in the lining for my spectacle arms also seem better positioned than before, keeping my glasses firmly in place.
Stay tuned for a much fuller review in the coming months.
