Kit Review: Spada Lunar jacket

1 of 1

Spada Lunar jacket, £109.99

Miles covered/time: 2000/two months
What's good? It¹s very warm indeed, which is great for such an affordable jacket. I¹ve worn a T-shirt underneath on a 10°C, windy day in the fens and felt perfectly comfortable. The polyester shell and CE-approved armour feel solid and thick. Everything about the jacket feels relatively tough and firm and the pocket, neck and wrist attachments are hardy. Reassuring.
What's not? It has one massive flaw. The non-adjustable neck clasp is far too tight and I can¹t comfortably close it around my throat. One YouTube viewer described me as a ³posh, thin-armed t***², so I can¹t have an unusually thick neckŠ my advice is give it a go yourself. Aside from heavy downpours, which will defeat it, you¹ll have found a cheap, warm, protective jacket for a very reasonable price.
