Product Review: Ugly Fish RS5228 sunglasses
Ugly Fish RS5228 sunglasses, £35
Time tested: One year
What’s good? These are good value sunglasses that fit tightly to my face and were perfect when I used them for the first time in combination with an open-face helmet on the launch of the new Indian range at Sturgis in America last year. This was the first time I had ridden in an open-face helmet and normal sunglasses were no good as they allow too much windblast to hit your eyeballs. Over three very long days riding in extremely high temperatures these were perfect at both keeping my eyes fresh, dirt out and stopping insects from hitting my eyes. They are also comfortable to wear under the crash helmet and the side stems are thinner and smooth enough to slide into place without causing discomfort. These are medium impact-resistant polycarbonate lenses with an anti-scratch and anti-mist coating
What’s not? Not a lot to report. It’s hard to fault but they aren’t polarised lenses, which may put off some people.
